Drawing on her teaching background spanning from elementary classrooms to university demonstrations, Saville crafts workshops that empower students of all ages to tap into their creative potential.
In her Cyanotype workshops, students will explore an alternative printing process over 180 years old. Printing with a special sensitizer, natural materials and sunlight, students will learn how to transform the silhouettes of leaves and flowers as striking blueprints. Unique printing surfaces are explored, such as cotton tote bags, clothing, watercolor paper, and more. Making a cyanotype print requires a bit of patience and a lot of magic - no two are ever alike! Saville encourages students to release expectations of perfection and fully tap into the flow-state. The results are often equally surprising as they are rewarding.
